Xavier Nogueira joined LimnoTech in February 2022 as a Water Resources Data Scientist/Developer. Since then, he has continuously leveraged and expanded his expertise in software development, machine learning, data engineering, and hydrologic modeling. Xavier holds a Master of Science degree in Hydrologic Science, with a specialization in Earth Surface Processes, from the University of California – Davis. During his studies, he primarily worked as a research assistant automating novel fluvial geomorphology analyses in Python. Having also taught an undergraduate climate change course, Xavier has experience communicating with fellow scientists and non-technical audiences.
At LimnoTech, Xavier has contributed to diverse projects, including building machine learning pipelines, developing open-source scientific software, streamlining geospatial data access, and supporting internal R&D initiatives. He is a dedicated professional committed to advancing technology’s impact in the environmental and water resources domain.
