Letter from Our President
I co-founded LimnoTech in 1975 with a simple vision: do cool (innovative) things in the newly evolving field of environmental engineering, work with good people, and most importantly, help to save the water environment. Innocently simple, and hardly a business plan, these “goals” have informally guided our culture and vision for almost four decades. I am proud of the important role we have played in advancing technology for analyzing water issues, solving problems, and promoting better policies. I’m also pleased with how we have helped our clients make sound, cost-effective decisions as we worked to protect and restore the environment. But most of all I have been delighted with the absolutely top quality people that I’ve had the pleasure to work with—not only our staff, but our partners and clients as well.
The field of environmental science and engineering has changed significantly over the last four decades and so have the issues. I am proud to say that over this period we’ve maintained our commitment and enthusiasm for helping to solve high-profile problems with innovative approaches. This has been illustrated through thousands of projects—in just about every U.S. state and dozens of countries around the globe.
Our projects revolve around issues with enormous environmental and economic significance, and they have big impacts on the people we work with. I have been proud of how LimnoTech has tackled each new issue over the years, and I’m excited about our continuing contributions to major policy initiatives and technological advances. As our profession has advanced from pollution control to restoration and sustainability planning, it is gratifying to see how LimnoTech has helped to champion this evolution.
