A Creative Culture
LimnoTech is a national leader in innovative water quality assessment, modeling, and management (see What we do). Whether it’s our collegial atmosphere, the opportunity to work on challenging, high-profile projects with talented people, the ability to direct our own career paths or make our mark on the environment—it’s clear our employees like working here!
- 70% of our staff have been employed at LimnoTech five years or more
- 45% have been here 10 years or more
- Our annual employee retention rate is routinely 98% or better
Since our founding in 1975 (see The LimnoTech story), three ideals have driven everything
- Work on challenging projects
- Work with great people
- Protect the environment
We constantly seek projects that stretch our expertise in environmental engineering and science, pushing ourselves to break new ground. To address client needs, our staff develops new tools that assimilate data and provide quantitative understanding of natural processes in groundwater, fresh water lakes, streams and rivers, and coastal estuaries and marine harbors. Our reward is a national reputation for high-quality, advanced work—a reputation that has attracted some of the top people, clients, and partners in our field today.
Social and community involvement
Fun is an important part of life at LimnoTech. We have company sports teams, summer picnics, ice cream socials, holiday parties, and spontaneous get-togethers.
We also have a tradition of involvement in charitable activities. Our employees have contributed thousands of hours of service and dollars to provide family health care, help animal shelters, deliver motor meals, support our troops, promote medical research and prevention, and much more.
"I wanted to work for a company with environmental leaders who are respected for producing ‘state-of-the-science’ work that is based on sound and unbiased science. LimnoTech has given me this and so much more."
Amanda Flynn, Project Scientist
"The primary reason I chose LimnoTech was the personal nature of this organization. It’s very refreshing to be in an atmosphere where your input is valued and where you can really make a difference in where the company is going."
Tim Schmitt, Senior Scientist
